Enrolment process

If your child turns 5:  

  • before 1st May, they can begin primary school at the start of the year
  • after 1st May, they start the following school year. 

Your child must be at school by their 6th birthday.

Steps to enrol

Step 1: Contact the school to enquire about enrolling your child.

Step 2: If a position is available, you will be invited to an enrolment meeting.

Step 3: Organise the following documents to bring to the meeting

  • a copy of your child’s original birth certificate or passport 
  • residency visa, if you’re a non-Australian resident 
  • custody or parental agreement documents
  • proof of address (for example utility bill or lease agreement).  

Step 4: Attend the meeting and bring the required documents.

Step 5: Fill in the enrolment pack which will be provided at the meeting.

Step 6: Return the enrolment pack to secure your child’s position.

Mid-year intake

If your child turns 5 years between 1st May and 31st October, they can start school either:

  • at the beginning of term 3 of the same year
  • or term 1 the following year.

Students enrolled through a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of reception.

Step 1: Attend a school tour in Term 1. 

Step 2: Submit an enrolment request form, which will be provided at the tour.

Step 3: Submit the required documents prior to the transition visits.

You’ll need to submit: 

  • a copy of your child’s original birth certificate or passport 
  • residency visa, if you’re a non-Australian resident 
  • custody or parental agreement documents
  • proof of address (for example, utility bill or lease agreement).  

Step 4: Attend 4 transition visits.
